City of Las Vegas Department of Field Operations crews have road maintenance repair work planned to take place over the next two weekends, during the hours of 6 a.m. and 5 p.m.
On Saturday and Sunday, May 29 and 30, traffic lane restrictions will be in effect at the Buffalo Drive and Lake Mead Boulevard intersection. While this asphalt repair work is under way, the northbound Buffalo left-turn lanes onto westbound Lake Mead will be closed. A temporary left-turn lane will be established which will reduce the northbound through travel lanes from three to two. As traffic delays can be expected, Tenaya Way and Rampart Boulevard are suggested as alternate routes for through travel.
On Saturday and Sunday, May 29 and 30, and again on June 5 and 6, traffic lane restrictions will be in effect for westbound traffic on Charleston Boulevard between Rampart Boulevard and Hualapai Way. This temporary traffic flow change is necessary as crews perform flood control channel maintenance activities in the area. Sahara Avenue and Alta Drive are suggested as alternate routes for through travel.
Motorists should proceed with caution through these work zones as large equipment will be entering and exiting the work areas. These locations will reopen to full access during non-work hours.
